The Ophanim, also known as auphanim, ofanim, or galgalim, are higher order angels depicted as many winged wheels as mentioned in Ezekiel's vision of the chariot holding the throne of God. In the Book of Enoch, they appear as celestial beings who, along with Cherubim and Seraphim, guard God's throne without rest offering praise, exalting, "Blessed be God's glory from His place." Ophanim are considered one of the angelic classes, identified as Thrones and often called "many-eyed ones."
